ideal for nursing students Sep 26, 2010

I wanted a stethoscope that I could use for the nursing program I am in. This one is perfect, it is reasonably priced and the sound quality is great. I also love the color, makes mine a little more unique!

This is a littman stethoscope. I've used my old one for almost 15 years and then it just tore in half so I needed a new one. The price was great, shipping was free. I prefer black, but then again - for this price - it cannot be beat! The items arrived on perfect timing, perfect boxes (I ordered 2 pieces - for a friend too). The only difference between this and the older one I own is that this one is a little longer and flimsier. The plastic on the cord doesn't slide well on my neck or on clothing and has a high degree of friction as compared to the older one. So it sort of sticks to my clothes and I need to lift it up rather than slide it off my neck to use. It may be a different line of production, but functions well.
The color is also not as shown. The demonstrated color on Amazon resembles a deep burgundy, but the actual color is a darker shade of girly-pink. I liked the price and did not want to deal with the hassle of returning or exchanging so I kept it despite my dislike of the color. Recommended for those who, like me, have no time to go to the medical supply store, and prefer paying less (saved about $25) for an item of function, not fashion.

I'm a Respiratory Therapy student and had to purchase a stethoscope for class, and this one works wonderfully for listening to lung sounds.

I received my order quickly and on time. I was already familiar with Littmann stethscopes and so far it is great just as I was expecting. I am currently a nursing student and I highly recommend any of the Littmann stethoscopes to everyone. My other classmates who have the "other" stethoscopes fell in love with mine.

Product arrived in original package, factory-sealed. An excellent value for the price; my fellow nursing students can't believe the deal I got! No one else has this color, either. I would certainly put these folks at the top of my list for future purchases.
